What to Expect When Elevation Seal & Fill Arrives

When you schedule your sealcoating and crack filling with Elevation Seal & Fill, you know exactly what you're getting: professional work, on time, with minimal disruption to your property. Here's the complete breakdown of what happens from arrival to cure.

Before We Arrive

We'll confirm your appointment 24 hours in advance. No surprises, no delays. Plan to have your driveway clear of vehicles and debris.

Day 1: The Work

We Arrive On Time in Full Uniform

Our crew pulls up in a yellow and black trailer, fully equipped. Everyone is wearing:

  • Yellow reflective tee
  • Black pants
  • Black hat

You'll recognize us immediately. We're professional, we're prepared, and we're ready to work.

Equipment Setup

We bring:

  • Backpack blower
  • Hot crack filling machine (mounted on trailer)
  • Sealcoat application equipment
  • All necessary materials and safety gear

No guessing, no running to the hardware store. We arrive completely equipped.

Phase 1: Surface Preparation

This is where quality begins. We:

  1. Clean all cracks with a stiff brush to remove dirt, debris, and loose material
  2. Blow off all debris with our backpack blower, ensuring a clean, dry surface
  3. Inspect for any additional cracks or damage

Skipping this step is why cold pour products fail. We don't skip it.

Phase 2: Hot Rubber Crack Filling

  1. Heat up the crack machine to proper temperature (350°F)
  2. Apply even coating(s) to every crack on the surface—sometimes two passes for stubborn or deep cracks
  3. Ensure complete penetration and bonding

This is the structural seal. Water stops here.

Phase 3: Sealcoat Application

  1. Edge the driveway carefully with our sealcoat trailer to prevent overspray onto adjacent surfaces
  2. Apply full driveway seal in professional passes, creating uniform color and protection
  3. Maintain consistent application thickness for maximum durability

Phase 4: Safety & Signage

  1. Put up caution tape around the perimeter of your driveway
  2. Place a branded yard sign in front of the property to mark completion and beautify the neighborhood

Day 2: Tape Removal

We return within 24 hours to remove all caution tape. Your driveway is now ready for vehicle traffic and regular use.

Days 2-7: Full Cure & Use

The sealcoat continues curing over the next 5 days depending on:

  • Weather conditions
  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Direct sunlight

You can drive on your driveway 24-48 hours after we seal it. Feel free to park vehicles and use it normally—the surface hardens quickly while the seal continues to cure deeper into the asphalt.

Day 8: Yard Sign Retrieval

Seven days after job completion, we return to retrieve the branded yard sign. By this point, your driveway is fully cured and has made an impression on the neighborhood. Hopefully your neighbors want their driveways done too!

The Result

You're left with:

  • Sealed cracks bonded at the molecular level, protected from water intrusion
  • Protected asphalt with a fresh, deep black seal that looks new again
  • Extended pavement life through professional-grade protection
  • Peace of mind knowing the work was done right
